For this weeks challenge we had the task of pasta. Although I have alot of pasta I have nothing to put with it other than spaghetti sauce and I dont want just plain spaghetti. So when you're strapped with cash like I am this summer you improvise. I searched the house for some cool or weird ingredients that might taste good for pasta. With some collaboration with family we thought it would be a good idea to mix pasta, eggs, and salsa and see how it goes. Seeing as how I want to try new things with this challenge I was totally game to do it. For without further or do here is my creation.
I started by boiling
water and tossing some festive bow-t
ie pasta into the pan.
At the same time I scrambled some egg and waited for the two ingredients to finish cooking
Then I mixed the scrambled egg and pasta together, and put the TacoBell sauce on the side for dipping.
I was weary at first that no one would try my creation :( but it turned out everyone wanted a bite and you know what, the plate was finish
ed :D everyone thought it was delicious and so did I.
Overall I was very happy with this meal. It was easy, cheap, and delicious at the same time. Not to mention new, it was definitely a new taste for me and it was
tastey :D
